Water Rates
During the 2024-2025 FY, the Cromwell Fire District - Water Division hired an outside firm to conduct a water rate study. Upon completion of the study, the firm "...recommends the District implement a 5 percent rate increase across the entire rate structure starting in FY26 and reassess the Water Division’s financial health in FY27." The rate change went into effect on July 1, 2025.
During the 2026-2027 budget process, the Board of Fire Commissions approved no water rate increase. The July 1, 2025 water rates will continue.
