The Fire Chief’s Office is tasked with overall management of the entire Cromwell Fire Department while moving the department and its staff to the forefront of public safety. The fire department is not just about responding to fires; we are a comprehensive public safety entity. The Chief’s Office Staff leads a team that is dedicated to protecting life, property, and the environment through a wide range of services. We provide fire suppression, emergency medical response, rescue services and hazardous material management. We are here to serve you in times of both peace and crisis and will work diligently to prevent such emergencies through education and proactive measures. Our highly trained personnel are ready to respond to emergencies 24/7, ensuring swift and effective action to any crisis that may arise in our community.
Another core part of our mission is to prevent emergencies before they happen. The Chief’s Office provides general oversight of the Fire Marshal’s Office, the Fire Marshal, and its inspection and investigative staff. Under the direction of the Fire Marshal, our staff engages in extensive fire prevention education, conducts building inspections, and enforces fire codes to minimize risks. We also conduct multiple educational classes to empower our residents with the skills needed to save lives. Our goal is to create a well-informed public that is equipped to handle potential emergencies with confidence. These initiatives are all designed to equip our residents with the knowledge and tools to prevent fires and respond effectively in emergencies. We believe that a community that is well-prepared is a community that is resilient.
We are more than just the leadership or a team of firefighters; we are part of this community and we believe in the power of a community. That’s why we actively seek your involvement in making our neighborhoods safer. Whether it’s through volunteer programs, public safety workshops, or community events, we strive to foster a strong partnership with the people we serve. Your feedback and participation are crucial in shaping our services to better meet the needs of our diverse community. We value your support and encourage your participation in our various programs and events. Whether it’s becoming a volunteer firefighter, attending a safety workshop, or simply practicing fire safety at home, your involvement is key to our success. Together, we can ensure that our community remains a safe place to live, work, and grow.
Please feel free to reach out. We love hearing from all of you!
